Wildflower Salsa

Original artwork by Navy Sloth

Some paintings like to sit quietly in the corner.

Wildflower Salsa definitely isn’t one of them.

This little burst of colour is full of wildflowers, movement and playful energy — as if the flowers have decided to throw a party and nobody thought to tell them to behave.

Richly textured layers of colour create the backdrop, with vibrant paint droplets and my signature wildflower shapes dancing across the surface. The flowers twist, sway and tumble into one another, creating a wonderful sense of movement and a little bit of beautiful chaos.

I wanted Wildflower Salsa to feel joyful and spontaneous — the sort of painting that makes you want to turn the music up, open the windows and have a little dance around the kitchen.

It’s small, but it certainly isn’t shy.

A cheerful little dose of colour, a sprinkling of wildflowers and a whole lot of personality.

Basically, sunshine with a salsa beat. 🌸💃
