Cookie Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

At Navy Sloth, I believe in keeping things simple, honest and transparent. This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how they help this website function, and how you can manage your preferences.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, keep track of items in your shopping basket, and ensure everything runs smoothly while you browse.

Cookies Used on This Website

I only use cookies that are essential for the website to function properly, provide a smooth shopping experience, and allow you to subscribe securely to my mailing list.

1. Strictly Necessary & E-Commerce Cookies

These cookies are essential for you to browse the website and use its features, such as adding artwork to your basket and completing a secure checkout.

woocommerce_cart_hash & woocommerce_items_in_cart

Purpose: Helps the website remember the items in your shopping basket as you browse different pages.

Typical duration: Session (expires when you close your browser).

wp_woocommerce_session_*

Purpose: Contains a unique code for each customer so the website can retrieve your shopping basket from the database.

Typical duration: Up to 2 days.

wordpress_logged_in_* & wp-settings-*

Purpose: Remembers login details and user preferences for account holders and administrators.

Typical duration: Session or up to 1 year, depending on the cookie.

2. Mailing List & Communications (Self-Hosted Listmonk)

My mailing list is managed using Listmonk, hosted securely on private infrastructure. Unlike many third-party email marketing services, I do not use tracking pixels or third-party cookies to track you across the web.

csrf_token / listmonk_session

Purpose: A temporary security cookie used when you submit the mailing list sign-up form. It helps protect the website against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks and automated spam.

Typical duration: Session (expires when you close your browser).

3. Security & Infrastructure Cookies

Managing Your Cookies

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser settings to block or delete them if you prefer.

Please note that disabling essential cookies may affect how parts of this website function. For example, you may be unable to add items to your basket or complete a purchase.
