Wildflower Butterfly Moments

Original artwork by Navy Sloth

There’s something about seeing a butterfly when you’re out for a walk that makes you stop for a moment.

You can be happily wandering along, thinking about absolutely nothing in particular, and suddenly there it is — drifting past you before disappearing amongst the flowers.

Wildflower Butterfly Moments was inspired by that little bit of summer magic. A vibrant wildflower meadow provides the backdrop for one wonderfully colourful butterfly, its sweeping wings bursting with raspberry, rose and sky blue.

The whole painting is full of movement and colour, with layers of wildflowers, energetic marks and playful little dots creating the feeling of a meadow buzzing with life.

But it’s really that butterfly I’m drawn to. There’s something lovely about how such a tiny, fleeting moment can completely interrupt your day and make you look around at the world a little differently.

You don’t know how long it will stay. You just get to enjoy it while it’s there.

That’s what Wildflower Butterfly Moments is about — those little unexpected moments in nature that brighten an ordinary day and somehow stay with you.

A little wildflower meadow, a splash of colour and one very special butterfly moment. 🦋
