Rainbow Fields – Contemporary Landscape Painting

There’s something wonderfully comforting about the countryside — rolling fields, little trees along the hedgerows, and that enormous blue sky stretching out above it all.

Rainbow Fields is my colourful, semi abstract painting with a slightly dreamlike take on the British landscape. Inspired by the patchwork of fields you see across the countryside, I’ve filled this one with greens, golden yellows, turquoise, orange and purple, turning the landscape into its own little rainbow.

The funny, rounded trees and loose, textured marks give the painting a playful quality, while the bright colours capture that lovely feeling of a sunny day when you’re out exploring and everything just seems happy.

For me, it’s about those familiar views that become part of us — the places that make us feel calm, connected and at home. A little bit of countryside happiness, with a rainbow thrown in for good measure.
