Comfort Blanket View

Comfort Blanket View – original landscape painting by Navy Sloth

Comfort Blanket View is a joyful, dreamy landscape inspired by that feeling of remembering a place where life felt simple, happy and safe. Rolling green hills, sunny yellow fields and soft pink skies come together in a colourful patchwork of summer, with little rounded trees scattered across the landscape like tiny familiar friends.

There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about this painting — a bit like looking out of the window on a long summer afternoon, when the days seemed endless and there was nowhere else you needed to be.

With its candyfloss sky, cheerful fields and playful, almost storybook-like trees, Comfort Blanket View feels like a little escape to somewhere warm, happy and familiar.

The kind of place you could imagine wandering through without a care in the world — where the days feel slower, the air feels lighter and everything feels just a little bit simpler.

Perhaps that’s why it feels a little like a comfort blanket. A reminder of those places, real or imagined, that make you feel safe, happy and completely at home.
