Golden Fields: A Deeper Shade of Green

Original artwork by Navy Sloth

Golden Fields: A Deeper Shade of Green is one of three miniature paintings in my Golden Mini Series. Each one is similar, but with its own little changes and details. You can enjoy one on its own, or display all three together as a little collection of countryside memories.

This little painting was inspired by childhood journeys to Pembrokeshire for family holidays. I can remember gazing out of the car window, watching fluffy white clouds drift overhead while the landscape changed constantly before my eyes.

Fields, hills, hedgerows and botanicals seemed to blur together as we travelled, creating a moving carousel of colour that I could happily stare at for miles.

There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about those journeys — being tucked into the back of the car, watching the world go by and knowing that somewhere ahead was a holiday waiting to begin.

I’ve captured that feeling in Golden Fields: A Deeper Shade of Green with golden fields, rolling countryside and that little twist of green running through the landscape.

It’s a tiny piece of a much bigger memory — a glimpse through a car window, a summer journey and the excitement of heading somewhere new.

£85 for one painting.
